Prep Time: 10-15 minutes | Cooking Time: 40-45 minutes | Yield: ~6 sliders
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound organic, grass-fed ground beef
1 large and thick organic sweet potato
4 slices organic, sugar-free bacon
1/2 cup Primal Kitchen chipotle mayo
1 tsp lime or lemon juice
1 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tbsp onion powder
2 small packets of Eat Wholly guacamole packets (or you can make homemade guac or just plain avocado slices).
Sea salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
Slice the sweet potato into 1/2-inch thick rounds and bake for 15 minutes, then flip and bake for another 15 minutes. Once they are done, set aside.
While those are cooking, season the ground beef with the garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and pepper (to your preference or you can follow the guidelines above, I like to season them pretty heavily).
Form seasoned ground beef into 3-4 inch patties.
Heat a skillet on medium-high heat and fry the patties for about 5 minutes on each side and/or until the internal temperature is 160ºF.
Place a patty on each sweet potato round and top with guacamole or sliced avocados.
Fry the bacon until crispy and break into pieces to top off the sliders.
Now, make the chipotle sauce by mixing the Primal Kitchen chipotle mayo and lime or lemon juice until it's a thin enough consistency to drizzle onto the burgers. Enjoy!
Optional: garnish with fresh parsley.
